I just go by my first initial and last name, Jcastick

2] How did you get the name?
Well, needed a screen name people would know me by and recognize.

PC

4] What software you use most often?
Adobe Photoshop 7.0

5] Do you use mouse, or tablet?
Tablet

6] The color you use most often is?
Blue. It is one of my favorite colors and is just a relaxing color to deal with.

7] What area of the pictures do you put most effort into?
Whatever is giving me the most problem.

8] How long does it take you do draw a picture?
Anywhere between an Hour to 3 Hours.

9] Do you keep your rough drafts?
Yeah, I just keep everything in sketchbooks.

10] What kind of font do you use most often?
Whatever works best for what I'm working on.

11] What's the dpi when you scan?
100 - 300

12] Do you do anything else when you're drawing pictures?
Have the TV on in the background or some music.

13] How many pictures do you draw in a month?
Usually 15 or so, lately I've been in a funk.

14] What kind of paper do you draw your pictures on?
Recycled Sketchbook paper or directly into my computer.

16] How long does it take to ink something?
If I have clean lines, an hour or two.....

17] Do you do doujinshi or original manga?
Uumm....No?

18] Do you like doujinshi? Is it fun making it?
I have no idea....

19] Ever submitted anything to a magazine?
I think once or twice but nothing published.

20] Did it get published?
No again.

21] Who are your favorite artists?
With the shear number of artists that I like, I simply do not have the time to list the all...just check out my watch list for anyone's art that I like here.
Traditional artists, again....just too many to name.

Don't watch/read enough to have a fav.....

Juggernaut from the Marvel Universe

Again, look at my watch list....I'd love to have ANY of their talent!!!

Used to....and mostly art books.

26] Did you ever buy a book to inspire you to draw?
All the time! Comics, how-to-draw books, art history books.

God of War to satifiy my bloodlust!!

Kratos from God of War and Asteroth from Soul Caliber

Can't say that I do.....

Any book by George Carlin

Mostly rock, grunge, metal or classic rock

Nope, just whatever I feel like....

With all of the great artists, I have to say Deviant Art.

Deviant Art, Gaia Online and Minimate Multiverse

I'd love to belong to an art site like Deviant Art, except that you get So much more feedback from many many people and not just the ones that watch you.

I am a very bad critic of my own work, I very rarely really like anything I do. Alot of it is ok, but not much where I just say Wow!

38] What do you enjoy watching on TV?
King of Queens, Family Guy, The Simpsons, Mythbusters, LOST, Futurama, and most of the shows on the Food Network.

Can't say I have 1 favorite.

Blue

Chinese food is just the best Ever!!
I also enjoy Indian and Mexican Cuisine.

Far to many to list, but a few would be: Pirates of the Caribbean Trilogy, Hellboy, Gladiator, Spaceballs, Gone in 60 Seconds, anything by Pixar, and on and on........

A few....

1998 after college

54] Do you use reference pictures when you work on a drawing?
I usually have to since I have a hard time drawing the human figure.

I have no fans.....

Nope.

Yup.

Whenever I feel like really.....

Thank them for all the inspiration they have given with their work.

Alot of times that is my problem....too much going on in my head.

Yup, it's what usually happens.

Don't think so

65] Where do you often hang out?
Probably at friends' homes

I can usually find something about a piece of artwork that I can like.

When I'd rather be doing something else....

I don't have a website.

69] Something that makes you really glad that the internet exists?
Besides being able to get some advice/critiques from established pros, job opportunities for artists are now just an email away. (I have to steal M-U-D-C-A-T's answer here)

Spam....biggest waste of time ever....

Many many times....

Went and did something else until something came to mind.

77] What happens when you have artists block?
I stop working....do something else until Iget a better idea.

78] Any artists that have influenced you a lot?
Every Artist that I like has given me some sort of inspiration.

79] What made you start drawing?
My dad used to draw alot when I was younger and I guess it rubbed off on me.

80] What made you want to get a website?
Just have my DA account for my work......I had a site until someone hacked it and destroyed it. >_<

81] Where did your site name come from?
Deviant Art made it up....

82] What do you think about net manners?
Net manners should be like normal everyday manners but I have yet to see that happen.

83] Have you ever been spammed?
Yes.

84] Ever thought about quitting your webpage?
I did...

85] If so, why?
My website that had my demo reel on it was hacked a few months ago. Made me so mad that I just decided to cancel my entire account and be done with it....it was far too gone to be fixed.

86] About how much KB is each picture?
I try to keep my images around 300kb - 1 meg

87] When creating your site, do you use a program or pure html?
Website done and gone......

88] Do you have good eyesite eyesight?
What is that supposed to mean?

89] If you can get any person's autograph, who's would you get?
If I ever got a chance to meet Stan Lee, his would be the only one I would Strive to get myself...and not just buy something with his autograph on it, I want to shake that man's hand and thank him for everything he has created in his life.

90] What would you say to that artist when he/she autographs for you?
See above.....

91] Do you have fans of your art?
I think I answered something similar....but I know I have had people say they like my work....but I don't know of anyone who keeps coming back.

I did alright...

94] Did you take art lessons other than from school?
Nope, just at the Art Institute

I've tried.....

Unless you cross me, I don't think so...

I guess it is to keep working on my art and make some really nice stuff eventually.

"Stop being so critical of yourself and just do your best"
