I finally decided to ink and paint my Koi Sketch.
I also did change it slightly, I completely inked one Koi then just Duplicated that layer and rotated it.
When I first did the original I really wanted both fish to be the same size and look, so I figured I'd do that after I inked it.

I might make a different background for it, but for now I like it as is. :)

Excellent idea, and yet you still gave them both unique splotches. I think this is one of your best works yet, old friend ^_^

Thanks much!
I was actually trying to give the fish scales but damn that was pissing me off......lol
So I just went with different splotch patterns.

I hope to ink and paint 1 of my better sketches every day.....then maybe do some more sketching since I've been slacking on that.

you did this in Photoshop, right? Perhaps you could try some sort of texturing tool to simulate scale patterns in the colours... that reminds me, do you have a copy of the software that I could use?

I might try that, i'll have to see what I can come up with.

Also, I think one of those movie DVD's that I gave you has PS on it......if it doesn't just let me know i'll try and burn one for ya.

I like how this turned out...^_^ I thought that the sketch was good, but this is now even better...XD And what you did about inking one of them and then duplicating is a good idea to keep the uniform in size. And the individual colors splotches is great too...^_^

I think that there is a way to do scales in Photoshop...I'll try to remember how to do that and get back to you on it.

Thanks! ^_^

Yeah, I tried my best at sketching the koi as identical as possible, andit turned out good, but I figured it would look much more like how I imagined it if I just duplicated it. I wanted them identical but also slightly different.

If you have a tip about making scales, I'd greatly appreciate the info on it.....I tried painting all the scales myself and ended up with a headache! haha...

You're welcome...^_^

I'll try to find the tutorial I used once when making scales and send it over...^_^
